Delays – St. Joseph / Ecole St Joseph Nov 4, 5, 6

Due to the driver shortage there will be delays for route G3 next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the morning.  Route G1 will pick up students as regularly schedule. The bus will then pick up the students for route G3.  The anticipated delay is 15 minutes for picking up the student on route G3.  There will also be a delay in arrival to St Joseph School and Ecole St. Joseph of 10 -15 minutes.

Manitouwadge to Marathon – Cancelled

The Manitouwadge to Marathon bus is cancelled today due to poor road conditions.

Bus Cancellation – Friday October 16, Nakina to Geraldton

The bus servicing BA Parker, Geraldton Composite High and Chateau-Jeunesse will be cancelled on Friday, October 16 due to the driver shortage.

Masks on Bus – October 5

Based on directives by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit masks for all students will be required on school buses starting Monday, October 5. The bus is considered an enclosed public space which includes public transportation and private transportation for hire, including taxis, limousines and rideshare services. Parents must ensure each student on a bus wear a non-medical mask unless unable to do so for medical reasons or due to special needs. 

Your school or board may have different mask policies in place while attending class. Please visit their website for these regulations.

GOPS – Red Rock Bus Cancelled, Monday Sept 28

The bus from Red Rock servicing George O’Neill Public School will be cancelled for Monday, Sept 28 due to the driver shortage.

Margo Lake, Hwy 625 Stops Cancelled Friday, September 25

Route 09 servicing Margo Lake and stops on Hwy 625 will be cancelled on Friday, September 25 due to the driver shortage.

Affected schools include Ecole Notre Dame de Fatima, Our Lady of Fatima and Ecole Secondaire Chateau-Jeunesse.

Nipigon Red Rock High School – Morning Delays – Sept.11

Nipigon Red Rock High School – Nipigon in Town and Lake Helen will be combined in the morning Friday, September 11. There may be delays of 10 to 15 minutes for pickups and arrival at NRHS.

Highway is now open between Longlac and Geraldton.

Here is the approximate pick up times to bring students home.

GCHS – Longlac – 2:00 pm

GCHS – Nakina – 2:30 pm

Longlac – Geraldton – 2:10 pm

Nakina, Geraldton, Longlac, Beardmore, Jelicoe – March 13

Students will be picked up at all schools at 1 pm to go home early.

There will be delays with buses brining students’ home as the highway is closed between Longalc/Geraldton. There will also be delays bringing students home for Beardmore /Jelicoe as well due to the highway being closed.  They will be picked up and brought home as soon as the highway reopens. This also affects the Nakina bus as it comes from Longlac.  East of Thunder Bay Transportation Consortium  is monitoring the situation and will update once more information becomes available.

Marathon In Town – Cancelled – Friday, March 13

Due to roads not being plowed the Marathon in town busses are cancelled
